Role / Job Description

  • The Level 2 Support Engineer function at Lenovo India Private Limited is a demanding role. In this role, you will work with various VMware products(vSphere 7. x, 8. x, vSAN 7. x, 8. x, NSX 3. x & 4. x, vROPS, VCF, vRLI, SDDC Manager) to triage, analyze and troubleshoot the issues in a complex Production environment.
  • Resolution of these issues- requires assessing, planning, troubleshooting the issues, and providing the root cause analysis.
  • Holding the SLA is a key victory as they deliver timely and efficient fixes and updates to keep the client happy.
  • Knowledge of escalation procedures, incident management, and problem management including RCAs.

Technical Skill Required:

  • Recognizing and fixing VMware Infrastructure- ESXi host and Virtual Center performance-related issues, Performance Monitoring, Datastore datastore-connected issues (Latency or IOPs), ESXTOP.
  • Knowledge in the keeping of enterprise data center networks(software-defined networking(NSX)).
  • Experience in maintenance of VSAN Cluster.
  • Solid background in identifying and troubleshooting vSAN 7. x, 8. x, NSX 3. x, 4. x related issues.
  • Hands-on experience on VMware NSX-T Manager, Distributed Firewalling, Edge Firewalling, N-VDS, Tier 0, Tier 1 gateways & logical segments, NSX Intelligence, PCG, CSM.
  • Periodically monitor the traffic requirement of Applications & Services and make changes to security policies to reflect the change in traffic patterns.
  • Ability to Engage, Collaborate & Direct stakeholders & project teams.
