Primary Skills:
- They must have hands-on experience working in an applications production
- They also need at least a basic knowledge of SQL and HTML/CSS, and experience/working knowledge of ITIL-compliant incident, problem, and change service management. It is considered to be a plus for the application support analyst
- They need the capability to work virtually with cross-functional squads
- They must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills for documentation and customer support duties
- They need the ability to multi-task, virtually prioritize work, and adapt during pressured situations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Answerable for observing applications and batch jobs
- Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to the application support team
- Responsible for monitoring and reacting to open tickets submitted through an incident management system
- Progress issues and provide relevant information for troubleshooting or for clarification
- Flexible with regard to working in shifts and weekend support to provide 24×7 support to applications in scope
- Ensure the implementation of daily health checks of the applications, and scripts by the support team
- Create and maintain troubleshooting guides and support documentation for the specific assigned applications
- Respond to customer requests as per SLA Guidelines
