Job Description
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc. Being a part of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the development, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems. Act as leader software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4+ years of software engineering or related experience.
Responsibilities
The candidate is responsible for developing technology to manage the Exadata Machine using Oracle’s Enterprise Manager product. The Exadata Machine is a database-in-a-box solution that gives a tenfold performance boost over existing systems because it tightly integrates the database software and the storage layer. Oracle’s entire technology stack—from hardware to software—is involved in this performance, which is made possible by extremely sophisticated technology. The worker will be in charge of creating the Exadata Machine’s administrative and monitoring capabilities. The technology is written in Java, and PL/SQL and uses J2EE technologies. It has both UI elements and complex back-end logic.
